The pamphlet, Impacts of Basic Research, provides examples of how knowledge gained from 17 BES research areas applies to various energy technologies. This was presented to the President's Committee of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST), Panel on Energy Research and Development on July 28, 1997.
